Senior Project Manager

COUCH Health is a purpose-driven creative health engagement agency.

We partner with clients to transform the representation of patients in clinical trials—ensuring that trial populations reflect the real-world patients who will ultimately benefit from new treatments. We achieve this by integrating Community Engagement, Research & Insights, Patient Recruitment and Retention, and Diversity and Inclusion Consulting.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Project Lead – Patient Recruitment to join our Patient Recruitment Team. This role is a senior leadership position, critical to shaping and delivering complex, multi-market campaigns that drive inclusive patient participation in clinical research.

At COUCH, we drive diverse and equitable recruitment into clinical trials by developing and executing patient- and HCP-focused communications strategies. We use the most effective and accessible media for our audiences—ranging from websites and social media campaigns to podcasts, printed materials, and everything in between.

As a senior leader, you will play a key role in guiding our strategic partnerships with both prospective and existing clients, working from the earliest stages of proposal development through to global delivery. You’ll bring deep subject-matter expertise in clinical trial recruitment and retention, using insights and data to co-develop innovative and inclusive creative strategies tailored to diverse communities. These strategies must meet rigorous timelines and budget expectations, while maintaining scientific credibility and cultural relevance.

You’ll also act as a trusted advisor and strategic voice within COUCH, working closely with cross-functional teams—spanning research, strategy, creative, and operations—to influence the development and execution of high-impact campaigns. You will lead by example in cultivating strong, consultative relationships with clients, elevating project outcomes through a blend of scientific understanding, commercial awareness, and creative thinking.

Your attention to detail and operational discipline will ensure consistent delivery of projects with multiple workstreams—often tailored and localised across 10 or more international markets. You will be comfortable managing the complexity and pace that comes with leading programmes at scale.

In addition to leading projects, you’ll play a visible role in shaping our team culture. You will mentor and support junior team members, contribute to internal knowledge-building, and help scale the capacity and capabilities of the Patient Recruitment function as we continue to grow.

As part of a dynamic, independently owned agency, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact—not only on the future of clinical trials, but also on the strategic direction of COUCH Health.

In your application for this role, please demonstrate:

· Expertise in patient recruitment and retention for clinical trials (ideally from a CRO, biotech, or agency environment)

· Relevant qualifications in a scientific or healthcare-related discipline, or equivalent project leadership experience

· Strong scientific literacy paired with commercial and creative acumen

· A track record of leading the development of insight-driven, multi-channel creative campaigns

· Demonstrated success in client services, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement

· Experience in people management and mentoring is strongly preferred

Please note:

We can only accept applications from those eligible to live and work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas for this position.

In addition, as part of our due diligence process, we will conduct basic DBS checks on successful candidates. As per the code of practice published under section 122 of the Police Act 1997, we are committed to treating all candidates fairly and are happy to share our Equal Opportunities and Ex-Offender policy on request.

If you’re interested in applying, please do so with your CV or LinkedIn profile, a note indicating your salary expectations, and your availability for an initial Teams call to careers@couch.health
