COUCH Health is a purpose driven creative health engagement agency. Our clients partner with us to improve the representation of patients on clinical trials so that trial populations reflect those that will ultimately benefit from a treatment.
We are entering our next phase of growth, and as such, we’re looking for a business development professional with proven experience of working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO to explore and commercialise ways in which our expertise can help future clients and the communities that they serve throughout their product development and marketing activity.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate that they’ve experienced success in the development and execution of strategic approaches to attract and acquire new clients in our sector, and supporting the internal teams to achieve organic growth. You’ll have a consultative approach to business development, based on a deep understanding of the challenges that are faced in our sector, specifically around ensuring representation in clinical trials, but also that more generally, our clients are achieving their objectives in engaging individuals from underserved communities throughout the lifecycle of their products.
While we’re open to the level that you work at, a significant part of your role will be lead generation, including through networking, attending events, and cold calling. So we’re looking for someone who is happy to pick up the phone, get the conversation going, identify the challenges and articulate how we can overcome them.
Once you’ve identified and qualified opportunities, you’ll lead on the development of proposals and pitches to secure the associated work. In doing this you’ll benefit from the relationships that you’ll cultivate across the business, co-ordinating various members of our team to come together to develop a compelling, well-rehearsed audience ready pitch or RFPs (or RFQs/RFIs – you’ll be across this terminology already!).
This role will be based in our Manchester City Centre office, at which you’ll be based for a minimum 3 days per week.
